Danger: Bad Cholesterol!

Have you been wondering how to outsmart bad cholesterol?

Have you thought about what’s going on in your arteries lately? I didn’t think so, but, hey, you should!

Rita’s Story: Outsmarting Bad Cholesterol

When Rita had her annual physical a year ago, her blood cholesterol was 240 and the HDL and LDL were “out of whack.” So she was instructed to get a doctor that could help get her bad cholesterol lower.

Rita does not like to put chemicals into her body that she knows has other side effects. (And I suspect that you feel the same way because I know you are into health too.) She reports: “Instead of going out to find a doctor to stick me on some medicine, I started taking the Shaklee Fiber Plan & Shaklee Lecithin.  This year when I went for my physical, my blood cholesterol was down to 183 and the other numbers were all in the normal range too! The doctor even wrote “great” on my report!” Rita outsmarted bad cholesterol the natural way. But now, it just got easier.

Stanols and Sterols to the Rescue to Reduce Bad Cholesterol

Okay, let me back up a minute. If you have been looking for natural approaches to lowering bad cholesterol, you’ve probably heard about plant stanols and sterols. These are what the National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommend as the natural approach.

Stanols and sterols, found in plants, have a structural resemblance similar to cholesterol. For this reason, they compete with cholesterol for absorption from the intestine into the bloodstream, but both can’t successfully get through.

Get this: the NIH recommends that people with elevated bad cholesterol consume 2 grams of plant stanols and sterols a day because over 80 clinical studies have proven that they work. (Notice the amount is grams, not milligrams!) To get 2 grams of plant sterols and stanols, you would need to eat 59 oranges or 47.5 cucumbers or 6.5 cups of soybeans!

So you can understand that it is hard to get 2 grams a day of stanols and sterols from your diet. Even the best natural sources (usually fruits and vegetables) only have 5 to 40 mg per serving. If you are a vegetarian, you might get around 700 mg from your diet. If you eat a typical American diet, you get around 250 mg, and if you eat a lot of fast food, you are probably getting less than 100 mg.

So, my really big news is (drum roll please): Cholesterol Reduction Complex contains a blend of natural plant sterols and stanols that, when added to a healthy diet, have been shown in many studies to significantly reduce LDL cholesterol levels. Watch a video about it here. Check it out if you or someone you love currently has bad cholesterol outsmarting you or your loved one. Take control back! And even if your cholesterol is good, you want to be proactive to keep it that way. I know I do!

I love solving health issues naturally, don’t you? And the FDA has approved Shaklee’s claim that Cholesterol Reduction Complex lowers your bad cholesterol. (As always, check out your health concerns with your health professional.)

Now you can outsmart bad cholesterol the natural way and feel good about it.

HI Grace, Great to see you again. Running 2 k a day would definitely be a great boost to your health. Is that what you do? I tend to walk, not run, but not daily. I intersperse my days with sometimes doing exercises, sometimes doing weights and sometimes doing my walks. I also like to jump on my mini-trampolene occasionally throughout my day. What all do you do for exercise?
