Natural vitamin for energy

I am often fascinated to watch an athlete in training. The building up of muscle, the endurance training, and the skills they work on make the human machine look so amazing!

Track is one of my favorite sports to watch (well, especially when one of my kids is running!) and I always say that we learn so many life lessons from track meets.

My youngest daughter had finished up her fifth and final track season. When the indoor season was in full swing, she woke up one Saturday morning and went off to the meet with great anticipation. The training had her prepared – well, sort of.

Much to her dismay, my daughter did not perform well and didn’t even place in any of the events she was in. As she was moping around the house later, I asked her if she took her vitamins that morning. Whoops – they had been forgotten. Then I asked her if she had taken along her rehydration drink. That also got a negative response. Oh-oh.

So, being the nutritional mom that I am, she got a lecture on what her body needs for optimum performance . . . and that she needs to fortify herself with her vitamins every day and she needs to keep her body hydrated with Performance Hydrate.

How this energy boost helped my daughter win the race.

I told her about an energy boost that is all natural.

I introduced her to what is called an Energy Chew that gives an energy boost to athletic performers. You can also use it as a pick me up for anybody who needs it – like on a long drive, or a accountant working late hours during tax season, a college student cramming for exams, or a mom just having her afternoon slump. I actually keep a supply on hand for me!

Being the good daughter that she is, she took everything I said to heart and the following week she took her vitamins, had a bottle of Performance to drink, AND took enough Energy Chews to take one before each running event that she was in.

Well, guess what? She came in first in the 100 meter dash as well as in the 4 by 100 meter relay with her teammates! And . . . she became a believer.

She made it to Regionals which is the first elimination for the state event. There is regionals for the top performers in the area’s region in each category. From there the top 4 performers in each event go on to sectionals.

At Regionals, there were two heats of 14 girls total. The top 7 girls would compete in the finals to determine the top 4 who would go to sectionals. My daughter took her Energy Chew before the semi-finals and she came in 5th! She had to beat the 4th place gal in order to make it to sectionals.

She texted me (I was up in the stands): “Mom, I really want to make it to sectionals.” I texted back to go ahead and take 2 Energy Chews before the final race (instead of just one). So she did that.

You won’t believe what happened by using the energy boosts.

She came in 3rd!!! Not only did she beat out the fourth place gal but she beat out the third place one as well!

So if you are in need of an energy boost – whether for sports performance or running after your toddler, consider giving Shaklee’s Energy Boost a try.

Just ask my daughter!
