Have you ever met someone in their late 90s who’s still sharp, joyful, and fully engaged in life?

I recently heard about four Shaklee Ambassadors—three of whom are 99 years old and one who is 98—who are not just alive but are truly thriving. They continue to lead their wellness businesses, mentoring others, and showing up every day with energy and purpose. It’s both humbling and inspiring.

What’s their secret?

Of course, they attribute their long-standing healthy bodies to Shaklee’s science-backed nutrition, especially powerhouse products, such as Vivix® (which supports cellular health and combats aging at the DNA level) and Vitalizer (a comprehensive daily nutrient system). These products, among others, help keep their bodies and minds running strong over the decades. No doubt they incorporate movement into their daily routines, as well as eating healthily.

But there’s something deeper at work here.

These wellness warriors have something many people lose sight of as they age:
👉 a sense of purpose
👉 a daily reason to get up and give back
👉 a passion that fuels them

And that is the real game-changer.

Passion = Longevity Fuel

Whether it’s coaching others toward better health, sharing hope through meaningful conversations, or simply staying connected to a community that matters—choosing to stay engaged in something you love adds richness to life. It gives your mind something to focus on, your heart something to beat for, and your body something to serve.

In a post by the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Shah shared information about a successful program in Baltimore’s public schools where seniors regularly read to young students. While the kids likely loved story time, the real impact was on the older adults. “It gave them a meaningful reason to get up each day,” Dr. Shah explained. “Their physical movement, mental engagement, and social connection all improved as a result.”

It’s not about being busy—it’s about being intentional.

These incredible Shaklee Ambassador 99-year-youngs remind me that retirement doesn’t have to mean stepping away from purpose. It can mean leaning in—on your own terms—to what brings you joy while also helping others.

What Are You Passionate About?

To live a long, healthy life, you don’t have to run a business or perform before crowds. But you do need something that lights you up. You want something that gives you a reason to keep showing up with energy and intention. It could be your family, your neighborhood children, a ministry, a skill you share like quilting or wood-working, or even a calling you’ve yet to explore fully.

Purpose is timeless.

These four Shaklee legends are living proof that passion doesn’t have an expiration date. Psalm 92:14a says, “They still bear fruit in old age, they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright.” This verse speaks directly to the idea that even in older age, we are meant to remain fruitful, vibrant, and grounded in purpose—proclaiming God’s faithfulness through our lives.

So today, I want to celebrate you, too. If you’re investing in your health, showing up for others, and staying purposeful about life—you’re already on the path to aging well.

Let’s not just aim to live longer—let’s choose to live better, with joy, impact, and meaning in every season. Share in the comments what you are doing for healthy aging with purpose!
