The following is a guest post on green cleaning products by Adam Adley.

Not too long ago, we wouldn’t have batted an eye at the type of cleaning products we used in our homes. Now that we know what’s really in the everyday products we’re used to using, eco-friendly cleaning products are becoming more and more popular.

The main reason they’re becoming so popular is because they don’t contain the harmful, toxic chemicals found in your average cleaner, but they do just as good of a job for the cleaning tasks we do around the house.

If cleaning isn’t on your list of your favorite things to do, hiring a green cleaning company is as easy as ever with so many of them popping up.

Whether you choose to hire someone or do it yourself, you will have a fresh, clean house that is safe for your family.

This is especially true for young children and pets who spend a lot of time close to the floor.

Let’s talk about four benefits that come with using green cleaning products.

Benefit #1: Using green cleaning products promotes a healthier environment at home.

Believe it or not, all those products we’re used to using at home contain carcinogens and other chemicals that are terrible for our health. Not only does it have an affect on us as adults, but even more so on our children and pets.

A good, eco-friendly cleaner will only contain natural, non-toxic ingredients that are safe for our health and provide a wonderfully clean home. They are great for disinfecting and even improve overall air quality which is a must in my book.

My favorite all-purpose cleaner doesn’t contain phosphates, dyes, toxins, hazardous chemicals, fragrance or chlorine yet is very effective.

The best thing about it is it is super-concentrated and just one 16 oz. bottle makes 48 gallons of solution! That’s enough to ensure a clean and safe home for a very long time!

Benefit #2: Using green cleaning products helps protect the earth.

It’s no secret that our planet is hurting now more than ever. In recent years though, becoming environmentally-conscious has surged in popularity. There are many products out there that have the planet in mind. Green cleaning products are some of them.

The main reason green cleaning products don’t negatively affect the environment is because they are biodegradable.

Being biodegradable means that they can be decomposed naturally by bacteria, which helps reduce the amount of harmful chemicals released into the atmosphere.

Benefit #3: Using green cleaning products mean you can know the ingredients are safe for you and your family.

I think it’s safe to say we all find it annoying when we go to read the ingredients on something and half of them are words we can’t even pronounce. Often, those ingredients are not very good for us.

The beauty of green products is that because they contain mostly all-natural ingredients, you know what’s inside them so there are no surprises.

My favorite heavy-duty paste is a powerful cleaning paste comparable to Ajax with Bleach Powder Cleanser or Comet with Bleach. However, it is simply made from natural mineral abrasives and biodegradable cleaning agents.

Imagine what the ingredient list for those other two products looks like. I shudder to think of it.

Benefit #4: Using green cleaning products saves you money.

There are many green products that are comparable in price to conventional cleaning products if not cheaper right from the get-go. But to make it easier on your wallet, you can easily make 100% eco-friendly cleaning solutions from basic household items.

Cleaning with vinegar and water, lemon peels, olive oil and many other things can do a great job around the house while costing you next to nothing.

Improve your health by switching to green cleaning products.

As someone who has used green cleaning products for many years, they truly are refreshing when it comes to their ingredients. You can immediately tell the difference just from breathing in the air around you.

What an easy way to improve your health, the health of your family, and even the health of your pets by using green cleaning products.
