Every day your body throws away toxins from the metabolism of food, liquids, prescriptions, what you put on your skin, and even chemicals from the air you breathe in your environment.
Your liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, and digestive system all perform vital jobs to filter, inactivate, and take out harmful by-products and waste materials from your body.
The great news is that it’s really not that tough to boost your body’s detox systems. The outcome is that you will most likely have more energy, fewer skin issues, and less small digestive grievances.
What are some things that come to mind when you think of detoxing? I think of drinking more water, taking a sauna, enjoying a detox bath, and exercising. Discover more methods for detoxing your body here.
In addition to these techniques, you can also help your body detox with how you eat.
Naturaly body detoxification begins with your diet.
Here are nine eating tips to assist your body in detoxing naturally:
1. Start your day with lemon water. Drinking warm lemon water when you first get up helps to clean out the liver and flush out toxins. I like to add cayenne pepper to my lemon water too. Check out this book with all the benefits of a lemon detox cleanse. [affiliate link]
2. Consume additional whole grains. When deciding on breads and grains, try to find phrases such as “100% entire wheat/whole grain” and then pick breads that offer at least 3 grams of fiber each serving.
3. Satisfy your desire for sweets with fruit. Fresh fruit usually has fewer calories than other sweet snacks but is high in fiber. One cup of fresh blackberries or raspberries has about 8 grams of fiber and a medium-sized pear or apple has 4 grams.
4. Eat your vegetables. Veggies supply vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, as well as good fiber. One artichoke has 5 grams of fiber, and a potato (along with the skin) gives 5 grams. Whenever possible, eat organic.
5.Serve up some legumes. Legumes and beans are fantastic in soups, on salads, or as a yummy main dish. A serving of beans provides approximately 6 to 8 grams of fiber.
6. Stay away from processed foods. This is because consuming chemical-laden, typically fried meals causes a heavy burden of contaminants for your body to deal with. Dr. Jamie McManus, Chairman of Medical Affairs, Health Sciences & Education for Shaklee Corporation, points out that “veggies and whole grains are rich in fiber and help bind contaminants and harmful metabolites so they can easily be excreted.”
7. Make your daily diet very colorful. Carotenoids are the antioxidants found in the color in your vegetables and fruits. Antioxidants help protect your cells and help your body thrive. Eat the rainbow every day. If you can’t get 5 – 9 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables each day, supplement your diet with Carotomax.
8. Cut down on sugar. When you eat sugar, you are requiring your body to make more insulin, which strains your pancreas and affects your energy. This habit can lead to chronic fatigue, high blood sugar, cancer, and packing on the weight.
9. Drink lots of green tea. Green tea is full of anti-oxidants and hydrates your body. The caffeine in green tea is different than the caffeine in coffee – it is much gentler on the body. My favorite green tea is matcha green tea or pomegranate tea.
Once you incorporate these 9 tips into your eating habits, you will find that it will be easier and easier to keep your body detoxed and in good shape.
