Earthing: Walking Barefoot Outside Can Boost Your Health
Have you heard that walking barefoot outside is good for you?
As you know, I’m always looking for ways to get healthier, so when I found out about “earthing,” I delved into learning more.
Have you ever realized how good you feel when walking barefoot on the beach? You didn’t realize it but you were actually connecting to the earth’s magnetic field.
I know – it sounds like mumbo-jumbo or some new age thing, but I have realized that it is very scientific and another great benefit that our Creator put into the earth for us.

The authors state, “Exposure to sunlight produces vitamin D in the body. It’s needed for health. Exposure to the ground provides an electrical `nutrient’ in the form of electrons. Think of these electrons as vitamin G — that is, G for ground. Just like vitamin D, you need vitamin G for your health as well.”
These electrons work like antioxidants, disarming the free radicals that age us. Some of the benefits of “earthing” include better sleep, weight loss, diminishing pain, healing of injuries, better blood flow, reduction of muscle loss with aging, enhanced immune system, and reduced risk of metabolic syndrome.
Even sitting in your yard with your bare feet on the grass or dirt can benefit you – which is fine when the weather is nice. But what about the cold months?
For those of us big into health, walking barefoot outside (also known as earthing) is another tool to add to our arsenal for optimal health!
